The house is situated just half a mile up the Atro Valley from the picturesque village of Llanbedr in Gwynedd, approximately four miles from Harlech
Plas Gwynfryn is approached by a long drive that is lined with flowering and evergreen shrubs. The house dates back to the turn of the 20th Century, it is built of granite, quarried from the original 100 acre estate, with sandstone dressings framing the windows and a rustic slate roof.
The eight acres of landscaped gardens that surround the house were designed using the contour of the land. The natural rock formations have been utilised and amplified to create rockery gardens and a lily pond. There is also a bamboo and woodland area, a number of herbaceous and flower gardens and a walled kitchen garden with orchard.
All the five newly refurbished bedrooms have been individually styled to provide luxury and comfort, to ensure every guest has an enjoyable and unforgettable stay at Plas Gwyfryn.
Plas Gwynfryn has been involved with the National Garden Scheme for a number of years, opening the gardens to raise money for its nominated charities. For further information look on the NGS website.
